Ingredients
2 ¾ C Flour
2 tsp Baking powder
8 Tbsp Butter, chilled & cubed
2 Tbsp Calicutts Garden Citrus Blend
½ C Goat cheese, crumbled
1 C Milk
2 Tbsp Butter, melted
Directions
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, mix flour and baking powder until well combined.
Shred chilled butter into dry ingredients using a snapping motion with your fingers. The mixture should start to look like parmesan cheese as you work on incorporating the butter. When butter is incorporated, mix in the Garden Citrus Blend and goat cheese crumbles.
Create a well in the middle of the bowl. Pour in milk and slowly incorporate it into the dry mix.
When throughly mixed, pour out the mixture onto a floured surface. Split the dough in half. Working with the first half, knead a few times into a disk and cut into eighths. Repeat with the second half.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place scones on baking sheet and brush with melted butter. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy warm or room temperature.
